KEN FISHMAN ATTENDS THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD

Dr. Fishman presided at the annual meeting of the Standing Committee for “Foundations of Bridges and Other Structures” (AFS30), at this year’s annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board held in Washington, D.C. More than 70 people attended the meeting including members and guests from academia, industry, and government agencies involved in the design, construction and operation of transportation facilities. Discussions centered on use of deep foundation performance databases, seismic design of deep foundations, use of lightweight fills and research needs.
